Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
As I prepared to write a new introduction to this page, it was tempting to dig deep into the well-spring of nostalgia and refer to the beginning of my efforts to serve the Lord. However, after some consideration, I have come to the conclusion that to go back to the beginning of this web-site just nine months ago is far enough for a foundation to what I would like to share with all of you.
The entire experience has been eye-opening and humbling. The results have far surpassed what I expected in the beginning. I had written a few things and taught many seminars on different subjects and was often told, "You should write these things so more might learn from your study and experience. I found that getting anything published is difficult and very expensive. Then cyber-space became an option and has been phenomenal.
Not only have we reached a lot of people all over the world, but according to the feedback, souls have been saved, backsliders have been restored to fellowship with God and their churches, marriages have been saved or strengthened, young people counselled concerning marriage, study groups are digging into the Word, our servicemen have been comforted and encouraged, and many others have used the lessons as a study guide. Some of these results have come directly from going to this site and some by others using the material provided here to counsel their friends or loved ones. For all of this we are humbled and profoundly thankful to the Lord.
During over fifty years of pastoral experience, I heard about and even tried many of the 'church building plans' men devised. Some of them actually worked for a while. The problem was, though, when the contest was over, or the drive ended, the people usually fell away, going wherever the latest gimmick was being employed.. The ONLY thing that brought lasting results was when the members became excited about the Word of God and told others about it.
If there is any power in the material found on this site, it doesn't stem from my wisdom but from the Word, which is the Sword of the Spirit. As we send it forth, it is with the prayer that the Word might have free course in the lives of many and bless you as it has us for so many years. freddie
